ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Keir Clayton was brought up on a housing estate on the edge of Ipswich, England. Back then it was a natural playground of half built houses, next to open fields, in the Suffolk countryside. At an early age he discovered that below those newly built houses lurked the remains of a Roman villa, which inspired his imagination to wonder about the people who had dwelt there so long ago. It would be many years, a lot of reading and plentiful research before he accomplished his dream of writing a novel set in Roman Britain.

Now retired, he found the time to become immersed in that latent ambition of writing a fictional story. Walking around what remains of the Roman town of Venta Icenorum, south of Norwich, Keir was inspired to write his first novel 'Wulfhelm's Revenge'.
